Biography
Biography
Né en 1978 au El Salvador, Osvaldo Ramirez Castillo a été formé au Ontario College of Art and Design, puis a obtenu sa maîtrise de l’Université Concordia en 2007. Il a participé à plusieurs expositions de groupe à travers le Canada et à l’international, dans des galeries reconnues telles le Print Center à New York, la Galerie Kuma à Berlin, la galerie nationale Casa de Las Americas à Cuba et tout récemment à la Southern Alberta Art Gallery. Ramirez Castillo est le récipiendaire de nombreuses bourses de production et de voyage du Conseil des Arts du Canada, du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec ainsi que des subventions de la fondation Ludwig Vogelstein et, depuis peu, de la prestigieuse fondation Pollock-Krasner aux États-Unis. Son travail fait partie de plusieurs collections privées canadiennes prestigieuses.
