Cope 2 is a New York graffiti artist hailing from Kingsbridge, South Bronx. Known worldwide for his wild style pieces and bubble lettering, he fell in love with the art form in the early ‘80s. These years were the beginnings of an illustrious career that saw the formation of his crew “Kids Destroy”. The name was later changed to “Kings Destroy” as he was the self-proclaimed King of the notorious New York 4 Line. Cope2 has achieved success beyond the streets for his works and collaborative projects alongside such names as Adidas, Converse, and Time Magazine.
For over 30 years, Cope 2 has risen to become the world’s most instantly recognizable, visibly committed, and respected aerosol artists alive. Cope2’s throw-ups have further proved their notoriety with appearances in other media productions such as the videogame GTA IV and in the movies “Shrek the Third”, “Basquiat”, and others. In 2003 Righters published his book, “Cope 2: True Legend”. Today Cope2 finds himself in the studio adapting his raw energy & trademark lettering onto canvases.
